Roles and Responsibilities
Job Description:
At Edge, The Sales & Marketing Team, ‘Generation’, are looking for a Business Development Manager to help ‘spread the message’ that through connected expertise in brand, interiors and architecture, Edge improves brand perception and business performance.
This person will be integral to the business’s growth and stability and will form a critical role in ensuring sales targets are met, through either existing or new business, via research and outreach.
They will work directly with the Executive Head of Generation and Head of Generation, and it will be within their remit to ‘ensure'/‘make happen’ - driving the Account Plans and new business targets set out by Senior Management including Principals.
Objectives of this Role:
Managing both our existing sales targets and developing new business opportunities.
Research into target companies.
Assist in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies.
Motivate the team, track performance, and report metrics.
Representing/networking the business at key industry events.
Supporting the rest of the management team on New Business helping to activate campaigns, B2B’s, events etc. Recording and analysing the strategy behind finding new business and re‐shaping on a quarterly basis from lessons learnt.
Assisting Head of Generation with the management of annual Generation budget alongside Finance Director.
Assisting Executive Board and Management Board with meeting annual targets.
Mentoring and developing team members, leading by example.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
Organising, coordination and set-up of:
- B2Bs
- Nurture Lunches, Drinks, Coffee catch-ups etcUpdating CRM, Zoho
Preparing emails for wider studio to send – ‘ghost writing’
Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers and meet regularly with management and stakeholders to discuss strategy
Generate new leads, identify and contact decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities, select the opportunities in line with strategies.
Maintain and share professional knowledge through education, networking, events, and presentations
Skills and Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Educated to Degree level with a Business Development related qualification or and English degree would be preferable
Experience in a co-ordination role within a support team essential
Excellent written and spoken English
Experience working within the Construction & Design Industry would be good, but not essential
